Helen Keigley Caraker

	Helen Keigley Caraker, 74, formerly of DuQuoin, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, January 2, 2000 at the home of her son in Marion.
	Helen was a retired inspector at UNI and was a Protestant.
	She was born October 22, 1925 at DuQuoin, the daughter of Carl William and Dora Bryant (Neville) Scarber.
	She married Leslie G. Keigley on March 11, 1942 at Perryville, MO and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1988.  She then married Charles Caraker and he preceded her in death.
	She is survived by one son, Danny Keigley of Marion; two daughters, Judy Corley of West Frankfort and Carol Holloman of DuQuoin; two sisters, Mabel Isaacs of Sunfield and Altheda Caraker of DuQuoin; one brother, Charles Scarber of Fowler; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one son, Johnny and two brothers, Jim and Howard Scarber.
	Graveside services were held Tuesday, January 4 at 1 p.m. at the Old DuQuoin Cemetery with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
	There was no visitation and those attending the services were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
	Interment was in the Old DuQuoin Cemetery.
	The Searby Funeral Home of DuQuoin was in charge of arrangements.
